Defeating An Attacker Even Without Using Fighting Skills

By Jimbo M Lesneyy

Out of numerous personal protection items on the market, pepper sprays are one of the most popular. Just like many users, I like the fact that they do not require direct contact with the opponent to do the job. Obviously, the big plus is using a gadget which can paralyze another person however is non-deadly and will not leave irreversible injury.

Even the harmless-looking lipstick defense spray can knock an assailant down with a two-second burst. My buddy, Natalie, described the effects this way: when the spray reaches the face, the eyes slam shut and the target screams in pain as his own skin burns up.

With a strong pepper spray, or one with higher pepper concentration, respiration is constricted and the assailant gags. The effects can last approximately 45 minutes, that is more than enough time to get away or call for help.

Another disguised defense spray is a favorite of Elise, a oz. perfume shaped pink heart 15% defense spray. Elise has relocated to a different state where it is much more important to have some self defense weapon.

Elise told me the higher the oleoresin capsicum concentration, the hotter the spray. Even with short bursts, count on severe effects which will really incapacitate your aggressor.

The element of surprise often catches a criminal off guard. She has been successful at stopping harm or injury using her perfume pepper spray.

My very first self defense gadget is a pepper pen. This is convenient to carry in my pocket or purse, and readily concealed whenever in my hand, but it packs a wallop. I have viewed a target fell to the ground due to a coughing fit and burning experience on his own skin.

Safeguarding oneself against the big, bad world does not mean needing to learn how to fight. Self defense tools are enough to give you confidence in potentially unsafe situations. Just learn to use them correctly so you will not be left a statistic.
